Job Summary

Leads efforts for marketing initiatives by determining best methods and communication styles for advertising. Monitors implementation and duration of programs and provides consistent communication to ensure follow through. Supports category specific programs through development of targeted marketing offers and signage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads marketing efforts for specific categories for all banners. Monitors program efforts throughout duration and provides consistent communication to areas involved. Conducts store visits as needed to ensure follow through.
  • Maintains relationship for sports marketing sponsorships, and brings new official grocer relationships opportunites to management. 
  • Provides upper management with input regarding workflow, training and budgeting for department. 
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with partners in marketing, category management, facility services, print shop, retail operations areas as well as third-party vendors.
  • Serves as liaison to third parties related to vendor-funded offers and cross marketing initiatives.
  • Responsible for determining best methods and communication style to advertise marketing campaigns on small and large scales. 
  • Meets regularly with partners in department to determine assignments, establish deadlines and discuss ongoing and upcoming programs and projects.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

  • Ability to occasionally travel to off-site and out-of-town locations with possible overnight stays.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays. 
  • Intermediate mathematical skills required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP reporting and transactional applications.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and four or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and higher education required.
