Job Summary

Provides analysis and support to various department leaders relating to historical data, ad projections, and overall sales. Works with management to understand and determine changes needed for product pricing and quantities projected.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides various reports containing sales, pricing, shrink etc. for category management and marketing departments.
  • Researches and monitors costs of products and corrects as needed.
  • Monitors projections throughout the sales week and works with category management to determine quantities needed.
  • Completes weekly score cards based on projected sales and compares to market data.
  • Utilizes research and historical data to project ad sales. Compares projections to information provided by category managers and determines appropriate forecasts.
  • Determines causes of metric changes and communicates changes to necessary partners.
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams to determine challenges and identify potential improvements. Provides findings and collaborates with management to develop solutions.
  • Builds and creates reports, ad hoc queries, and presentations using historical data, projections, etc. to be used in meetings as requested. Conducts analysis and provides data to appropriate leaders.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Intermediate mathematical skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Macros, etc.).
  • Intermediate knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate knowledge of statistics.
  • Intermediate knowledge of financial statements.
  • Intermediate knowledge of marketing and promotional analytics.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret information.
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity.
  • Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to learn new technology systems, methods, and processes.

  • Ability to analyze complex information.
  • Ability to show information in presentation or diagram form.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
  • Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and six or more months of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, Alteryx, Google Analytics, Tableau, or other BI reporting tools preferred.
  • Experience with Syndicated Data (Nielsen, IRI, Numerator, etc.) preferred.
  • Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
