Job Summary

Plans, writes, revises, and maintains marketing copy in line with Company banner objectives. Works with all areas of the business and utilizes strong writing skills to develop creative and professional copy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining content that accurately represents Company banners on various marketing channels.
  • Works with digital marketing team to create content regarding Company updates, advertisements, etc.
  • Maintains working relationships with various marketing teams, communications personnel, and external agency to accurately produce copy.
  • Utilizes strong writing and grammar skills to proofread copies and ensure all information is accurate.
  • Writes scripts for commercials, in-store radio, billboards, signage, websites, magazines, etc.
  • Updates and maintains brand standard manuals with input from appropriate personnel. Ensures consistency throughout all documents and sends to upper management for review and approval.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, and formatting styles.
  • Strongly skilled in creative writing.
  • Basic knowledge of various communication platforms such as social media sites, blogs, radio commercials, etc.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret information.
  • Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.
  • Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems.
  • Ability to show information in presentation or diagram form.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form with all areas of the business and external agency.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Attendance at work is required.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field and one or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.

  • Frequently required to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing).
