Job Summary

Collaborates with teams to implement and review strategies for enhancing operation efficiency. Identifies labor standards, analyzes workflows, and implements efficiency improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviews and assesses recent labor standards studies to identify areas for improvement.
  • Utilizes time study and time management tools to monitor and report on labor standards.
  • Assists in the implementation of new/revised labor standards, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyzes operations and workflows to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions for optimization.
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements to support overall business goals.
  • Assists with implementation of procedure changes and monitors execution.
  • Collaborates with team members on assigned projects related to logistics process improvements or cost-saving initiatives.
  • Develops appropriate reports and provides analysis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form with partners and vendors.
  • Ability to learn new technology systems, methods, and processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret information.
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
  • Must have visual capability to see up close and far distances.
  • Must have auditory capability to hear and understand information given whether directly through a headset unit, over the intercom, and/or the ability to hear warning signals/sounds, hazardous sounds, etc.
  • Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
  • Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or GED required.
  • Current enrollment in an accredited university or college in a related field or subject and maintain 2.6 GPA required.
  • Must be classified as a junior, senior, or graduate student based on academic credit status.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age required.
  • Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.

  • Continuously required to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception or the ability to focus.
  • Frequently required to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing).
  • Frequently required to stand or walk.
  • Frequently required to sit for long periods of time.

  • Occasionally required to push, pull, maneuver, or lift objects up to 40 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to bend, kneel, or squat.

  • Attendance at work is required.

  • Work is generally performed in a warehouse setting.
