Job Summary

Coordinates the development of plans and specifications for architectural services projects. Works with consultants to prepare construction documents. Supports project administration during construction of facility services projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops various plans and specifications development for projects including new buildings, remodeled buildings, reimaged buildings, parking lots, roof maintenance, refrigeration replacements, and HVAC replacements.
  • Reviews, approves, and provides recommendations for drawing and submittals.
  • Reviews, approves, and provides recommendations on end of life scope of work provided by either internal subject matter experts or external consultants.
  • Reviews and tracks construction materials, supplies, and information submitted by contractors and suppliers. Ensures submittals comply with plan specifications.
  • Verifies, approves, and codes invoices related to architectural services expenses.
  • Helps to administer and maintain the “BGC Projects” website. Reviews plans, submittals, and correspondence posted by project consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Provides field verification and punch list to ensure that work is completed per scope and specifications.
  • Works with department leadership to design and produce various drawings through AutoCAD and submits for approval.
  • Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

  • Ability to use knives/ box cutters.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the AutoCAD program and design tool.
  • Intermediate knowledge of construction drawings and specifications.
  • Intermediate knowledge of engineering and architectural services.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or GED required. 
  • Four or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
  • Associate’s Degree in related field preferred.
