The north region covers the the northern Texas locations, southern Arkansas locations, and all locations in Oklahoma.
Job Summary
Inspects the existing condition of retail facilities. Assists with maintenance operations by working with Company partners and outside vendors. Maintains records of schedules, equipment inspections, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors dispatched calls regarding bakery/deli repairs and costs related to equipment repairs.
- Directs service call dispatching and instructs dispatchers on methods used for corrective action on service repair.
- Assesses and prioritizes facility maintenance emergencies. Coordinates appropriate and timely responses related to proper execution of maintenance.
- Performs mechanic related work on Company equipment.
- Coordinates repair vendor services based on policies and pricing.
- Assists with the coordination of facility maintenance related programs.
- Prepares written guidelines concerning proper repairs with sub-contractors and equipment companies.
- Maintains records (schedules, equipment inspections, etc.) for each retail location.
- Assists in warranty tracking of all new equipment.
- Inspects retail facilities regarding safety and liability and reports violations.
- Conducts visual inspections of store facilities and reports findings to upper management.
- Assists department leaders in maintaining service agreements with sub-contractors.
- Approves invoices for payment processing.
- Assists with maintenance/construction special projects upon request.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of electrical equipment, controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Intermediate knowledge of plan reading.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word.
- Ability to perform mechanic work.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery/ hazardous equipment.
- Ability to use precision hand tools.
- Ability to interact professionally with partners, vendors, and contractors.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
- Ability to work on-call and flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to occasionally travel to off-site and out-of-town locations with possible overnight stays.
- May be required to drive in accordance with the BGC Driver policy.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret information.
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- Associates Degree in related field and three or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
- Minimum of 18 years of age required.
- OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
