Job Summary
Oversees and coordinates on-site construction project schedules, sub-contractors, materials, equipment, and labor force necessary to construct and/or remodel projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates construction, manpower levels, necessary equipment, material quantity, and work schedules.
- Ensures on-site personnel and procedures comply with safety requirements, code compliance, inspections, and work rules. Maintains as-built job sets, specifications, and job logs.
- Manages on-site project labor force.
- Coordinates assigned on-site work between construction related trades and subcontractors.
- Determines field quantities and purchases materials that are not furnished by sub-contractors.
- Ensures quality of construction meets plans and specifications.
- Verifies and approves invoices, labor sheets, and daily logs for work performed on-site.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Intermediate knowledge of OSHA codes and regulations.
- Intermediate knowledge of general equipment used on commercial construction projects.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form with partners, vendors, and sub-contractors.
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.
- Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems.
- Ability to show information in presentation or diagram form.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Ability to occasionally travel to off-site and out-of-town locations with possible overnight stays.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
- May be required to drive in accordance with the BGC Driver policy.
- Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
- Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in related field and four or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
- Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.

- Occasionally required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing).
- Occasionally required to sit for long periods of time.

- Work is generally performed on construction project sites.
- Frequently exposed to outside temperatures and weather.
- Occasionally exposed to wet, slippery or damp conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to industrial odors, fumes and dust.
- Occasionally exposed to heights.
- Moderate to loud noise level.
