Job Summary
Manages preparation for annual Company budget by using input from department leaders. Supports senior leadership with developing financial forecasts/models, analyzing complex data, and ensuring accuracy of financial data. Oversees finance team and ensures consistency with reports, data, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Carries out management responsibilities including planning and directing work; training and coaching; appraising, rewarding, and disciplining partners performance, interviewing; budgeting; and addressing and resolving issues.
- Leads the preparations for the Company’s annual budget while working with department leaders to gather input.
- Assists with developing short-term and long-term financial forecasts and provides analytical information for the corporate financial model.
- Supports senior leadership with in-depth analysis of complex financial information. Provides accurate and timely financial recommendations for decision making purposes.
- Researches Return on Investment (ROI) in new stores, remodels, acquisitions, leases, etc. to provide insightful views of performance and trends.
- Develops detailed and flexible financial models to support decision making, including Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) analyses.
- Monitors and/or creates performance indicators that highlight trends and unexpected variances.
- Develops and maintains monthly and quarterly ad-hoc financial reports.
- Supports the administration and management of financial reporting systems to ensure accuracy of data.
- Participates in financial modeling for mergers and acquisitions.
- Leads the preparation of presentations for Board of Directors and senior management team.

- Advanced mathematical skills.
- Advanced knowledge of software systems used for the purpose of planning, forecasting and budgeting.
- Advanced knowledge of financial statements.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

- Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
- Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics related field and seven or more years of related experience required.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
- Two years of managerial experience preferred.
- Experience with at least two annual planning/budget cycles preferred.
- Experience with relevant enterprise reporting and budgeting system(s) preferred.
- Experience in multi-unit retail/restaurant concepts preferred.
- Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
