Job Summary

Provides day-to-day support and maintenance of the company’s Human Capital Management (HCM) system.  Works closely with People & Culture, IT, and business to support HR operations, reporting, and system functionality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains and updates employee data within the HCM system (e.g., job changes, promotions, terminations, etc.).
  • Ensures accuracy of organizational data including position management, reporting structures, and job profiles.
  • Supports configuration and testing of system changes and new functionality.
  • Assists in implementing and maintaining HCM modules such as Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, and Talent Management.
  • Responds to and resolves HCM-related inquiries from HR, managers, and employees.
  • Generates, validates, and distributes standard and ad hoc reports for HR and leadership using system reporting tools.
  • Conducts audits to maintain data accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Documents procedures and provide training or guidance to system users as needed.
  • Collaborates with IT or external vendors on integration and data flow issues involving payroll, benefits, and other HR-related systems.
  • Ensures data integrity through audits, troubleshooting, and data cleanup activities.
  • Provides analytics support for workforce planning, employee engagement, turnover, and other HR initiatives.

  • Ensures compliance with pay, age requirements, and job role criteria, communicating with retail leaders as needed.
  • Produces weekly headcount updates and other data-driven reports for company leadership.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline HCM processes to improve efficiency and user experience.
  • Evaluates existing HR processes and identifies opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with partners, candidates, and recruiting companies. 
  • Must be able to take initiative to identify needed work assignments without direct supervision.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate recruiting and diversity activities.
  • Ability to learn and utilize the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Must be goal oriented.
  • Working knowledge of conflict resolution strategies.
  • Working knowledge of team building methods and techniques.
  • Ability to meet and exceed hiring metrics set by Company leadership.

  • Ability to occasionally travel to off-site and out-of-town locations with possible overnight stays.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. 
  • May be required to drive in accordance with the BGC Driver policy. 
  • Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
  • Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification required.
  • Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
