Job Summary

Optimizes complex processes, systems, and operations to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality performance. Analyzes production methods, supply chain logistics, and workflow processes to implement innovative solutions that improve productivity and sustainability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs detailed time and motion studies to analyze and document current work processes.
  • Establishes accurate labor standards based on time study data and industry benchmarks.
  • Monitors labor performance and adjust standards as necessary to reflect changes in processes or technology.
  • Identifies inefficiencies in production processes and implement improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Studies functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units and to identify areas of duplication.
  • Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
  • Analyzes workforce utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
  • Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
  • Applies statistical methods and performs mathematical calculations to determine / evaluate process alternatives, staffing requirements, and production and service standards.
  • Confers with management staff to implement plans and recommendations.
  • Trains production staff on new labor standards and process improvements, ensuring proper implementation.
  • Analyzes labor and process data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintains comprehensive documentation of all labor standards, process improvements, and related procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Intermediate knowledge of SAP reporting and transactional applications.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Intermediate knowledge of statistical analysis software.
  • Intermediate knowledge of workforce management and process improvement systems.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and interpret general business and professional journals and technical procedures. 
  • Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical information.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

  • Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and three years of related experience required.
  • Experience in conducting time studies, developing labor standards, and implementing process improvements required.
  • Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
