Job Summary

Sorts, prepares, and delivers inter-company mail. Picks up and delivers mail and packages daily to various local parcel carriers.  Provides backup support using the digital printer, ensuring seamless operation and workflow continuity as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sorts parcel packages to be delivered to various departments, tracks delivery, and obtains signature documentation. Files relevant paperwork.
  • Sorts incoming and outgoing mail according to destination and type.
  • Prepares outgoing mail, including packaging and postage, for distribution to Company facilities and external parcel carriers.
  • Drives company vehicle to pick up and deliver mail and packages to off-site operation support locations and local parcel carriers.
  • Sends emails or copy of invoices for invoice Reduction Notifications.
  • Maintains an organized mailroom and misc. storage areas.
  • Assists partners with shipments, stamps, and supplies as needed.
  • Processes large volumes of paper through industrial shredder.
  • Completes assignments, meets deadlines, and makes minor exceptions.
  • Serves as a backup using the production digital printer to ensure high-quality output and workflow efficiency.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of mail center tools and small equipment, such as labeling machines, preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to use knives/box cutters.
  • Ability to operate a manual pallet jack.
  • Ability to learn new technology systems, methods, and processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret information.
  • Ability to reason, form concepts, and recognize and solve problems.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to occasionally travel to off-site and out-of-town locations with possible overnight stays.
  • Required to drive in accordance with the BGC Driver policy.
  • Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
  • Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or GED required. 
  • Minimum of 21 years of age required.
  • Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
  • One or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification required.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.

  • Continuously required to use hands for reaching, touching, or handling.
  • Continuously required to use fine finger movements (ex. sorting and typing).
  • Frequently required to talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to push, pull, maneuver, or lift objects up to 75 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to push, pull, maneuver, or lift objects up to 100 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to sit for long periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to bend, kneel, or squat.
  • Attendance at work is required.

Work Context and Environment

  • Work is generally performed in an office environment with occasional visits to Company facilities.
  • Occasionally exposed to outside temperatures and weather.
  • Quiet to moderate noise level.
