Job Summary

Responsible for completing general maintenance for retail stores and other Company facilities. Performs inspections while adhering to Company, state, and federal regulations. Communicates with stores to ensure building maintenance is up to Company standards and works with vendors as necessary to complete maintenance projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for completing annual general maintenance inspections for the purpose of evaluating existing store conditions and preparing annual budgets. Prioritizes maintenance tickets, ensuring higher priority requests are taken care of in a timely manner.
  • Performs sites surveys for the purpose of preparing project scopes and budgets.
  • Conducts store audits to ensure internal and external resources are performing the highest quality level of work. Reports potential safety hazards to management.
  • Maintains records for retail stores regarding inspection schedules and results, equipment warranties, etc.
  • Coordinates and communicates with vendors to complete necessary maintenance repairs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Intermediate knowledge of general facility maintenance.
  • Intermediate knowledge of maintenance agreements and service levels.
  • Intermediate knowledge of workplace safety.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to use precision hand tools.
  • Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret information.
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence. 
  • Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form with partners, vendors, and sub-contractors.
  • Ability to occasionally travel to off-site and out-of-town locations with possible overnight stays.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • May be required to drive in accordance with the BGC Driver policy.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or GED and three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Completion of vocational or technical school preferred.
  • Minimum of 21 years of age required.
  • OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
