Job Summary

Provides day to day support for overall PMO operations.  Assists with small, medium, and large-scale projects and provides support through the use of documentation, status templates, and overall delivery. Ensures projects remain consistent with process, tools, methods, and templates.  Provides overall PMO support to the PMO and project teams. Works with IT leadership for continuous improvement areas in project delivery.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops tools, communications, and reports related to resource planning. Provides management with summary of potential risks and opportunities.
  • Works closely with project managers on large complex initiatives and supports overall program delivery.
  • Responsible for managing project scope, resources, schedule, risks/issues, budget, and status for small/medium projects.
  • Maintains templates for resource planning and leads quarterly process. Provides analytical reviews for collisions, risks, and opportunities.
  • Oversees initiatives within the PMO (Project Management Office) to maintain and improve delivery of project processes and templates.
  • Supports, creates, and maintains project management tools/applications through Project Management tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Maintains and works to improve project site structures.
  • Prepares and creates weekly project agendas, status templates, and meeting materials. Monitors portfolio metrics and reporting processes.
  • Provides daily support to technology organization for consistent project delivery by providing necessary training and documentation.
  • Maintains BGC project management methodology and provides guidance to project managers on adjustments.
  • Participates in financial review meetings to compares actuals versus budget. Provides management with forecasted updates.
  • Works closely with cross-functional departments to ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures relating project budget, timeline, and contracts.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Intermediate analytical and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of project management concepts, methodologies, and practices.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of project management tools.
  • Basic knowledge of the Budget Planning for the purposes of planning, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Ability to prepare project reports, presentations, and related correspondence.
  • Ability to accurately estimate project planning and completion times.
  • Ability to understand technical ramifications of recommendations and decisions.
  • Ability to show information in presentation or diagram form.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and three or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
