Risk Analytics Manager

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Creates complex ad hoc queries and reports for Risk Management, Retail, and Asset Protection departments. Identifies deficiencies and makes process improvement recommendations to Company leaders.
• Develops standard and customized queries and gathers data upon request. Interprets and analyzes the data to provide insights to the business.
• Collaborates with various levels of Company leaders to research and analyze business questions or issues.
• Presents findings on specific topics or questions to various business leaders and highlights important aspects of the reports.
• Compiles data results into presentation format for Company leaders.
• Guides various areas of the business on how to utilize data insights delivered in reports to stakeholders.
• Implements and administers databases for various areas of the business to improve processes and transfer knowledge of databases to these areas.
• Develops data workflows for various Company leaders for periodic data updates and corrective-action functions.
• Reports on key metrics, such as claim and accident rates.
• Gathers monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports to capture and present annual results.
• Develops, gathers, and interprets partners’ responses to internal surveys. Recognizes trends and correlations in the data and draws conclusions accordingly.
• Gathers and provides data to various departments to complete industry surveys.
• Utilizes data visualization and business intelligence software to transform, analyze, and convert data into visual form, including charts and graphs.
• Administers and maintains Company’s risks and associated items within the Enterprise Risk Management program.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Advanced analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) process.
• Basic knowledge of SQL.
• Intermediate knowledge of relational database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
• Intermediate knowledge of administering relational databases.
• Intermediate knowledge of Data Prep & Analytics Software (Alteryx, Tableau Prep, etc.).
• Advanced knowledge of data visualization and business intelligence software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Advanced knowledge of creating/editing coded formulas for calculations and data transformation in various business intelligence/data transformation tools.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex information.
• Ability to work in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Intermediate knowledge of SAP reporting and transactional applications.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Intermediate knowledge of survey software and data (Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, etc.).
• Intermediate knowledge of statistics.
• Intermediate knowledge of coding (e.g., Python, R, etc.)
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to lead/develop/assist with multiple projects.
• Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field and four or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
• Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification required.
• Master's Degree in related field preferred.
